In considering the condition of the world around us and all the people in it, few would argue the fact that not many individuals are living truly happy and fulfilling lives. In fact, there seems to be plenty of poverty, unhappiness and injustices all around us all the time. Those who are experiencing happy and fulfilling lives could be said to have a responsibility to share their methods of success with others around them, since one cannot truly consider themselves happy unless they are around others who are likewise happy. Like ripples in a pond, the ideas behind creating true happiness can spread and grow among groups, communities, nations and even society at large. This is the driving purpose behind The Way to Happiness–to share with people all over the world some basic, simple ideas that can lead to true and lasting happiness.
The Self and Social Betterment Association seeks to improve the lives and conditions of Mount Lebanon residents by handing out copies of The Way to Happiness booklet, and encouraging individual to read and apply the twenty-one precepts contained within. These precepts form an easy-to-understand and apply non-religious moral code that is based entirely on common sense, and which have proven time and again that they are very capable of improving lives. They simply need to be widely known about and applied, and they can change the entire course of a society or civilization.

History has proven that sometimes in order to create big changes in the world all it takes is a single, powerful idea, and a way to spread it to others. The Way to Happiness is undoubtedly a powerful idea, and is easily spread to others once its power has been revealed to those whose lives it has touched and improved, and the Self and Social Betterment Association in Mount Lebanon is proud to be part of this effort to improve lives and happiness across the world through the broad distribution of this booklet.
